Monitoring Equipment

In order to ensure your safety and comfort during the procedure a nurse will monitor your pulse, blood pressure and the amount of oxygen in your blood. The nurse will also be there to provide reassurance and along with the radiologist explain what is going to happen. Occasionally it may be necessary to give you a sedative to help make the procedure more comfortable for you. The nurse will be there to monitor you closely and may also administer other drugs during the procedure in order to help the examination.
