Radiotherapy Radiographer

My name is David, I am a therapy radiographer. I did a biology degree first then took some time out to go backpacking through Africa. When I came back to the UK I didn't really know what I wanted to do. So I worked for a few years selling advertising space in newspapers. Then my uncle got cancer and had to have radiotherapy. I used to drive him there for his treatment each day and became interested in what was going on. I went to Birmingham and did a BSc in therapy radiography. At the moment, I'm working on the treatment machine but next week I'm due to go upstairs to work on the simulator for three months. After that I'll spend three months in the clinic helping patients through treatment.
