Welcome to the Mammography Unit. Mammography means taking pictures of the breast, which is done using x-rays. We use mammography to look for breast cancers which have not caused a person to seek help (asymptomatic / screening / family history) or where there are breast symptoms (symptomatic) when it is frequently combined with dedicated breast ultrasound. This is the same thing that we also do in Mobile Vans, which you may have seen visiting your town or area.
